One — The Senate has closed up shop for the year without a deal on funding for Ukraine. The Senate adjourned on Wednesday and will reconvene on January 8th. In the meanwhile, Senate and White House negotiators plan to hold virtual meetings on an emergency foreign aid package over the Christmas and New Year's break.
Two— Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is warning customers of Comcast/Xfinity of a national data breach. She says their personal information may have been compromised. Nessel is urging people to take steps to protect themselves from identity thieves and scammers.
And number three — The FTC is proposing new rules to put more limits on tech companies' collection of children's data. In announcing the proposed rules on Wednesday, FTC Chair Lina Khan said kids must be able to play and learn online without being endlessly tracked by companies looking to hoard and monetize their personal data.
