John 11:5-14  Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

 

6 When HE (Jesus) had heard therefore that he (Lazarus) was sick, HE abode two days still in the same place where HE was.

 

11 These things said HE: and after that HE saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep. 

 

12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. 

 

13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. 

 

14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. 

 

15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

 

 

I Thessalonians 4:13-18   But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

 

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with HIM.

 

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

 

16 For the Lord HIMSELF shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

 

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

 

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 

 

 

Revelation 21:1-8  And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

 

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

 

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people, and God HIMSELF shall be with them, and be their God.

 

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

 

5 And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And HE said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

 

6 And HE said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

 

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be MY son. 

 

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
