How do you make sure that your media pitch maximizes your chances of getting coverage?
Often, people in media are flooded with many issues that need their time and attention. Knowing what to include in your pitch will increase the chances of it getting the attention it deserves, and even getting your story covered by your favorite media outlet. Having had a long career working in the media, Monika Kelly knows too well the dos and don’ts to consider when making a pitch.
Monika Kelly started her career in radio in her late 20s as an intern with a popular urban radio morning show. Despite this not being what she had intended for her career, she’s over the years worked in many different genres, like country, classic rock, adult hits, and more. Today, Monika is the On-Air personality and news reporter at a nationwide Christian radio station called KLOVE.
Monika loves a great homemade latte, trips to San Francisco and beautiful sunny days. She currently lives in Northern California with her family.
