They discuss her mental health journey, fitness journey, and her current experience as a podcaster. She starts of by sharing her troubling experiences with leadership early in her career while deployed in Afghanistan. Dezarae used competing in and winning bodybuilding tournaments as a way to cope with stress. She discusses her continued mental health journey at her current command. Damo discusses his newfound “preventative stress practice” and the importance of saying “No” sometimes. The two discuss treatment and talk about the reasons why people be reluctant to seek help.
