Don't look now, but the Oscars are creeping up on us! This year, the MovieBabble crew has decided to throw a twist into their coverage and place their very own stake in the 2021/22 awards season.
Brennan and Nick are joined by Jonathan from The Film Drunk and special guest and newcomer Sophia from Oscar Wild as they each attempt to put together the best six film slate for the upcoming awards season with the goal of getting the most nominations and wins across all voting bodies. In the first round, the draftee is required to select an animated feature, followed by an international feature in the second round. After that, they can choose any four films they believe may be major contenders this season.
Between all the major players duking it out this awards season, the draft features some major bombshell selections as well as some surprise under-the-radar choices. Make sure to listen below and follow MovieBabble on Twitter throughout the awards season to see how each person fares!
Hosts: Brennan Dubé, Jonathan Fujii, Sophia Ciminello, and Nick Kush
