A belief in an afterlife was central to every major civilization of the ancient world and this encouraged the recognition of the reality of ghosts as the spirits of the departed who, for one reason or another, either returned from the realm of the dead or refused to leave the land of the living. Basically, ghosts have been around for a long time. There are now entire film industries dedicated to making movies around these paranormal entities. But where do they come from? Why are they so tied to human civilization? Why has the thought been around for so long? All of this and more on tonight's episode!
