Stephen is a certified interventionist, addiction specialist and recovery coach. He is the founder of San Francisco Intervention, which offers a variety of services to help people overcome addiction and realise their full potential.
Stephen studied Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) under David Burns, MD, the famed author of Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy who also invented TEAM Therapy, an advanced form of CBT. He is the first interventionist in the United States to achieve Level 3 certification as a TEAM therapist. Stephen also received certifications from the founders of ARISE Intervention, Systemic Family Intervention and most recently the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals. Also, Stephen is a proud member of the Network of Independent Interventionists, as well as the Association of Intervention Specialists.
San Francisco Intervention's services, which includes a continuing care model, are based on over 50 methods to address almost any behavioural problem, including unhealthy habits and addictions.
In this podcast, we talk about the two forms of resistance in process and outcome resistance, the importance of communication, and the mystery of love.
