Market Close 5 Dec 22: ASX 200 remains near 7-month high

The Australian sharemarket edged higher on Monday, with the ASX 200 lifting by 0.33% thanks to solid gains from our mining and energy stocks. A highlight this week will be tomorrow’s Reserve Bank meeting, with the market widely expecting an eighth straight rate hike.
