SPE Live Podcast: Technical Director Series - Challenges and Questions to Improve DA/ML Applications in Reservoir Discipline

The oil industry has a great experience with the applications of Data Analytics/ Artificial Intelligence/ Machine Learning (DA/AI/ML) in the Reservoir Engineering Discipline, specifically in reservoir surveillance and reservoir modeling and performance prediction. This situation is like what is occurring in other reservoir subdisciplines, for example in reservoir characterization, reservoir management, and other petroleum engineering disciplines.
Despite the wide range of data science and engineering applications, there is still room for improvement for the number of applications to be even greater and to improve future applications.
In this SPE Live, the SPE DSEA Technical Director and the SPE Reservoir Technical Director address some of the challenges in the application of DA/AI/ML to several reservoir engineering problems, and answer some of the questions related to DA/AI/ML applications in reservoir modeling & performance prediction.
