When Calling 911 for help ends up in unthinkable tragedy for your Autistic teen.

Imagine being in an emergency situation with your son our daughter, your teen on the spectrum, and you dial 911. You whole heartedly believe that help is coming, that protection and aid is coming. You never imagine that what is actually coming are life altering events for your child on the spectrum or even death. This is sadly the reality for many families across the nation and for the families of Victor Perez (17 years old), Ryan Gainer (15 years old), and Lindon Barton(13 years old). The absolute worst day of their lives happened as a result of inadequate police training and autism awareness in law enforcement. The consequences of these failures have left irreparable damage to people who deserved so much better.
