Our special guest today is Sherrie Yarbro. Having worked for Tipton County Schools since 1994 and being actively engaged in the community, Sherrie shares her personal and professional journey, shaping the educational space in Tipton County.
She oversees several areas in schools that are not exclusively academic – physical activity, health education, social services, and health services.
Phil and Sherrie also touch on the increase in chronic illnesses and mental health issues among students and their possible causes. They express their concern regarding our excessively digitized lives and the impact social media and constant connectivity have on students' mental health.
Listen in to see how Sherrie and Tipton County Schools are artfully navigating these challenges, fostering health, wellness, and endless possibilities within their school community.
