In the Bible, what we call “verbal abuse” is most often attributed to women. Their words destroy harmony and love. By contrast, Kingmaker women never destroy their husbands. They speak kindly and build them up. Women are strong and they know that true strength lies not in badgering but in blessing. Husbands whose wives bless and support them have the confidence to lead the family to its true destiny in God.
Jesus said in Mark 8:35, "For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it." Success in marriage and all of life from now to eternity comes through yielding to God. Sometimes the woman sees it first, but she stays humble and Christlike just the same.
Genesis 3:17, Ephesians 5:22, Malachi 2:16, Proverbs 27:15, 1 Corinthians 11:3, and Mark 8:35 underline the importance of submission to God.
