Marriage is comprised up of 3 key ingredients, Intimacy, Passion and commitment.  

You must have all three (like a triangle) to have a marriage that stands.  These three all develop at different rates.  They must be constantly growing for your relationship to  be healthy.  If you have one of these missing, you have a very adolescent relationship…i.e. adolescents usually only want 2 of the three things in a relationship.  If so then you are in a retarded relationship.  

 

Intimacy - communication, but beyond that she wants you to not just hear her words but feel her words. Listen, repeat, ask her questions and then tell her a time when you felt the same way.

 

Passion - Simply put, be passionate about what she is passionate about and she in turn will be passionate about you.

 

Commitment - Trust. My wife can check my email, phone, all social media outlets, etc… I have no off limits with my wife. To build trust is to show just how committed you are to this relationship.
