UK/EU trade deal not possible in a year – Fitzgerald

Fine Gael MEP Frances Fitzgerald says she doesn’t think it will be possible for an EU/UK trade deal to be negotiated in less than a year.

The British Prime Minister wants to have an agreement in place before the end of the Brexit transition period on December 31st. 

That deadline has already been described as ambitious by EU leaders.
