It was a relatively quick meeting for the Kewanee City Council on Monday, May 9th. On Tuesday morning, Mayor Gary Moore joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to talk about the items that passed on Monday night's agenda including an ordinance that will allow for licensed proprietors to sell Fireworks in the Kewanee City Limits. Also passed last night was an agreement that will place solar panels on top of Kewanee City Hall in an effort toward long term savings on energy costs for the City of Kewanee....

On Tuesday morning, Mayor Gary Moore joined Wake Up Tri-Counties to talk about the items that passed on Monday night's agenda including an ordinance that will allow for licensed proprietors to sell Fireworks in the Kewanee City Limits. Also passed last night was an agreement that will place solar panels on top of Kewanee City Hall in an effort toward long term savings on energy costs for the City of Kewanee. Several more buildings are soon to be torn down in Kewanee, they are currently under review under the guidelines of a grant the City of Kewanee received from the State of Illinois. The City of Kewanee continued an agreement with Carl Sandburg College regarding the training of EMT's and other first responders, and the Road Program in the City of Kewanee was up for discussion as well.
