The sermon for The First Sunday in Lent, March 5, 2017. The sermon text is based on Matthew 27:1-5 Today's Focus: Repent: Turn to Jesus! Do Not Turn Away. When we feel the guilt of our sin and shame, our instinct might be to turn from God and hide. But this morning, we will be encouraged to turn toward him in repentance and receive the full and free forgiveness that only he can bring. Do not turn away from Jesus, he longs to forgive you, heal you and restore you!
