Marriage is an important part of our life. A marriage will not always bring happiness for there will be times of hardship but that it is important to remember that it is always worth the hardship that we sometimes face. Pastor Kevin shares to us how audacious generosity helped and guided him through his marriage and how it helped strengthen his love for his wife.
In this episode:
- God is the one with all the resources and He embodies us to join him in His work through generosity
- As we continue to be generous to others, no matter how hard or how scary it might be, God will be there to provide for us and give us more
- Audacious generosity means giving to your spouse freely without looking for anything in return, to have trust and give without any strings attached
- Giving is not an expectation from God, it is an opportunity, it was never about God’s expectation of us but our expectation of Him
- To be truly generous means to deal with any prejudice and discrimination that was given to you from those around you
- Generosity comes from the heart just like God so loved us that He gave without any strings attached
- A marriage may have problems but you and your spouse are not the problem, it is something else
- To realize that the only person one can control is themselves will lead to the pathway to unity
