Flatwoods Monster

Two young boys in rural 1950s West Virginia on a warm September night have a chance encounter of a lifetime with what has since been known as the Flatwoods Monster. Over 50 years later, was this just the shadow of a large barn owl mixed with Soviet fears that plagued Cold War era America during this time or were these legitimate sightings of an unknown reptilian cryptid or alien creature from another world?
