Willem Blackwood is a badass, but there’s a lot more to him and his heroism than meets the eyes in House of the Dragon. Honestly it’s surprising that Rhaenyra didn’t marry Willem Blackwood on the spot However I think this scene has a lot more going on than many are giving it credit for. Rather than just fan service for obsessive book fans, It’s being used to foreshadow important events, tell us more about the character flaws of Rhaenyra, and show how small moments like this can be the butterfly wing flaps that become tsunamis.
