Happy Thanksgiving.  We are grateful for the tenacity and talents of State Senator Rhonda Fields and Denver Judge Gary Jackson who share their life journeys. It is entertaining and instructive to learn the lessons from these pioneering African Americans who are now standout leaders in Colorado.

 

Rhonda Fields had two beautiful kids and a great job when her world got wrecked by the June 20, 2005 murder of her son, Javad Marshall Fields, and Javad’s fiancée, Vivian Wolfe. Rhonda sought justice at the trials of the killers of her family.  She then moved into Colorado politics where she has been a legislator for a decade. Rhonda and Craig talk turkey and Colorado’s upcoming special Covid legislative session.

Judge Gary Jackson has lived a remarkable life in Denver, Colorado. This African American trailblazer has been a state and federal prosecutor before establishing his own great law practice.  Now, Judge Jackson has been on the bench for nearly a decade and he is scooping up rewards as mandatory retirement approaches. This is the definitive interview of one of Colorado’s legal lions.
