20250608 6PMp JB On the road The Kingdom of God is Like…

Luke 13:18-20.

Jesus gives two illustrations to say what the Kingdom of God is like. fs

1. The Mustard seed. From the tiniest seed a great tree grows, and the birds perched in the branches!
2. The Leaven (Yeast). A little yeast spreads through a large amount of flour until it all the dough rises.

“From little things great things grow”! The Kingdom is about God’s Rule and Blessing.

The Kingdom in the Garden – then sin. The Kingdom through Israel. With failures, then rebuilding. Then Jesus comes. Then Pentecost, and the coming of the Holy Spirit. And the message is taken further and further to reach every nation proclaim the Good News.

And it is happening in the world today.  God is at work today. 

God is working to build his Kingdom. A question for us is, “How do we invest today?”

Are we investing in the Kingdom that will grow?
