Mid-Session 14 Dec 2021: ASX fights back after early US inspired losses

The ASX 200 has clawed its way back from an early deficit that saw the index down by 0.5% at the open. An unwinding of early bank losses helped the market recover from the lows of the session. An earnings downgrade from Woolworths has weighed on shares of the Grocer which are down 8%.
