Market Close 7 Oct 21: Markets snap 2-day losing streak

The Australian sharemarket rose for the first time since Monday thanks to gains across 10 of 11 sectors. Hopes of a temporary solution to the debt ceiling negotiations, rising US markets and strong improvements in Asia helped.
