With regard to his disciples: Jesus prays for us:-

1. Because we belong to God (v6-10)
   
   
2. So that we will be protected by God…(v11-16) (from the spiritual attacks of the evil one)
   
   
3. ...in order to live for God (v17-19) (as his Word makes us dedicated to God)
