Connections, a Talk and Meditations

A talk and meditation on how we are all connected. based on poem i wrote

I have a connection

with the morning star

and when I watch it from afar

I sense it’s presence in the light

it’s essence reaches my heart

in recognition of what we are

 

I have a connection

with a myna bird

who comes in the morning

and sings me a tune

with sounds that bring a smile

from a tree that holds secret clues

 

I have a connection with a Kiawe tree

that shades the place I do yoga

from the suns intensive reach

as it grows so large where we meet

 

and the tree knows the bird

and that star across the sky

and the earth knows the tree

and palm trees nearby

 

we all are connected

though we might not know why

but what each being does

under these heavenly skies

is part of a greater whole

that’s all connected in life
