Market Close 24 Mar 21: Stocks lift for a second time this week

The Australian sharemarket edged higher by 0.5% on Wednesday, with most sectors finishing higher. Around $5bn in dividends were distributed by a handful of companies while energy stocks fell heavily as oil prices declined overnight.
