Mid-Session 4 Nov. 19: Aussie market rising despite bank falls

The Aussie market is following Wall St’s lead to start the new trading week higher. The ASX 200 is lifting despite weakness among the heavyweight banks after Westpac Bank (WBC) released disappointing FY19 result. While WBC shares are in a trading halt, the other big four banks are well in the red. These losses are weighing on broader market gains with miners and energy stocks leading improvements.
