Pressing On - Growing Together - Richard Sutton - 10/12/2025

This lesson, based on Philippians 3:7-11 and 2Pet 3:17-18, explores growing together, and closer to God and to Jesus as the only guarantee against spiritual collapse. The key concepts of the lesson include: (1) warning to be on guard against errors from lawless teachers, (2) the command to keep growing in grace and knowledge, and (3) taking on Jesus’ character by surrendering to him. The lesson concludes with the admonition that spiritual growth is intentional not automatic, and asks the question, “Are you growing or are you stalled out?”
