Stage 1 of the 2018 Tour de France should have been boring up until the last 1km, but instead it got interesting at 11 km to go. The race blew apart with wrecks and major GC surprises and splits causing problems for Richie Porte (BMC Racing), Adam Yates (Michelton Scott), Chris Froome (SKY) and a few others. We go over the race, give a recap and insights.
