120 Arland Nichols: End of Life Issues

On Tuesday, February 18, Trey talked with regular guest Arland Nichols, president and founder of the St. John Paul II Foundation, about end of life issues and their importance. Arland talked about the Church’s beautiful reminder that all persons, no matter their frailty, their suffering, or their physical condition, is always imago Dei (Image of God), and that should be at the forefront of all medical decisions being made for a loved one. They also discussed avoiding extremes in end of life issues like euthanasia on one end, and on the other, doing everything you possibly can to keep someone alive. This episode is packed with lots of thought-provoking conversation! This week’s scripture perfectly fits the theme of this episode, and comes from Colossians 1:24, “Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and I am completing in my flesh what is lacking in the sufferings of Christ for the sake of His body, which is the Church.” Remember to pray, parent with a purpose, and prepare for God to amaze you, and He will!
