Arts Interview: In-Depth Conversation with Jonathan Safran Foer
This week as her special guest from the arts Ruth Copland is pleased to be interviewing Jonathan Safran Foer - internationally best-selling and award-winning writer. We discuss amongst other things whether he grew up in a creative environment, what inspired his latest book, what it means to really live one's own life, whether he writes for a specific audience, if art can have a healing effect, and why he likes books. Jonathan is the author of the novels 'Everything Is Illuminated', 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close', and 'Here I Am', as well as the non-fiction book 'Eating Animals' about our treatment of animals as food, and an artwork in the form of a book 'Tree of Codes'.
