Market Close 19 May 20: Vaccine optimism drives market higher

The Aussie market has lifted for a third consecutive session as market optimism increases on COVID-19 vaccine hopes. The ASX 200 jumped as much as 2.6% before settling 99 points or 1.8% higher to 5,559.5. The materials and energy sectors helping drive gains most as commodity prices rebound.
