Morning Report 16 Jan 20: Wall St near highs after phase 1 trade signing

US sharemarkets were firmer on Wednesday. Shares in Bank of America fell by 2.0% after reporting earnings while shares in Goldman Sachs rose by 0.6%. With an hour of trade to go the Dow Jones index was up by 150 points or 0.5% after being up 184 points. The S&P500 index rose by 0.3% and the Nasdaq index lifted by 27 points or 0.3%.
