VA4, Ep. 15 Discernment; Between Reason and Passion, from Pain to Self-knowledge and Action

This episode fuses the words of The Prophet about Reason and Passion, Pain and Self-Knowledge with the wisdom that echoes his words in a prophecy first told in the 12th century. I transcribe Joanna Macy’s retelling of the Shambhala Warrior Prophecy. The emphasis on self-knowledge leads me back to the Victoria Amazonica, as the words of the prophet compare the unfolding of the soul to the opening of a lotus of countless petals, and we return to the Amazon Rainforest. Good news, as told and proclaimed by the Rainforest Foundation US, serves as the ideal example of reason, passion, compassion; as the urge to relieve the suffering of countless communities in the Rainforest Basin, is the motivation to enact technology-based efforts to control deforestation and equip the indigenous peoples of the Amazon to defend their own forests. We each can be a Shambhala Warrior, and we can choose to be part of the Shambhala Kingdom, daily.
