Religious Talismans

This sermon comes from 1 Samuel 5:1-7.  In this text we are told about how the people of Israel were defeated by the Philistines in a battle despite the fact that the Israelites had the Ark of the Covenant, the symbol of God's presence with them.  The sermon examines the idea of talismans and how only true relationship with God insures His blessing.
