The Long Island native had an interesting hockey career that started on the ice rinks of Long Island & concluded on the Sport Court of the Nassau Coliseum. In between Phil played in one of the toughest era's in hockey history, the IHL & AHL of the mid-80's. Later he went overseas to Italy & capped that period off by playing for Team Italy in the Lillehammer Olympics.
