In this episode of Shaping Your Journey, my special guest is the Cuban-born drummer Dafnis Prieto. Prieto discusses how he began his career with the bands of Cuban stars like Carlos Maza and Ramon Valle. He then moved to the US and worked with Steve Coleman, Henry Threadgill, Eddie Palmieri, Andrew Hill, and Michel Camilo, to name but a few. He is now a Grammy award winning author, performer, band leader, composer, and educator.
