Christian faith believes that Jesus is central to God’s purposes. The sustaining of God’s world and the redeeming of God’s world all depends on Jesus.  When God’s new heaven and earth are fully revealed, we’ll see that “at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow.”  The book of Colossians is really all about the preeminence of Jesus.
