Fitzgerald hopeful of Brexit deal as talk resume

Dublin MEP Frances Fitzgerald is hopeful that a trade deal can be done between the EU and the UK in the coming days.
 
Face to face talks are resuming in London today but significant differences remain in areas such as fishing rights and state aid.
 
Yesterday the EU’s chief negotiator Michel Barnier told the European Parliament that a deal was within reach if both sides were willing to compromise.
