—Here are 3 big things you need to know—
One — California will be challenging a federal judge's decision to block one of the state's new gun control laws from fully taking effect. The law, slated to go into effect on New Year's Day, bans licensed gun owners from carrying guns into many types of public places, even if they have a concealed-carry permit. But, on Wednesday, a federal judge said the law is unconstitutional and openly defiant of the Supreme Court.
Two— General Motors officials say 47-percent of Buick dealerships have taken buyouts this year instead of moving forward with selling and caring for electric vehicles. The automaker has a goal to be fully electric by 2035. GM wanted Buick dealers to spend almost a half-million-dollars for the sale and maintenance of those vehicles and many decided it was not worth it.
And number three — The U.S. is planning to land an international astronaut on the moon. Vice President Kamala Harris announced on Wednesday that the astronaut will be sent to the moon as part of NASA's Artemis program, and will walk on the lunar surface by the end of the decade.
