On April 11 in New Orleans at the 14th National Conference for Higher Education in Prison, we hosted this panel. The panel "explored the transformative role of formerly incarcerated educators in shaping prison education programs, highlighting their unique insights gained from teaching during and after incarceration. Panelists [shared] their pedagogical strategies, focusing on student-centered approaches and the importance of involving individuals with lived experience in developing effective and inclusive educational models."
