Wake Up TriCounties Katie Laleman Henry County Farm Bureau

Katie Laleman from the Henry County Farm Bureau joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Wednesday to talk about the current progress in the Illinois harvest. According to the latest numbers, the 2022 harvest season is behind the 5 year average but not so far behind as to cause a great concern. Katie Laleman also talked about upcoming Henry County Farm Bureau events including the Young Leaders next Fill a Ford Fundraiser next month in Geneseo and the the next Market Outlook Meeting also in November. Finally, Katie tells us that Bushels for Hunger is kicking off this month. Soon, Farmers can donate portions of the grain they bring in to Bushels for Hunger. It will be sold with the proceeds donated to Bushels for Hunger which will use the money as a donation to the Riverbend Food Bank.
