US Mid-session Report 3 Jan 18: Strong start to US trade, oil, gold and tech higher but INTEL under pressure

US markets followed the Euro market higher at the beginning of trade ahead of the release of the minutes of the last FOMC meeting in December. Intel shares off 5% on news of  a security bug in its CPU Kernel chip.
