Dr. Bill Thomas, MD visionary founder of the Changing Aging movement. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Thomas is a geriatric physician who has a lifelong passion for working with the elderly. He is the founder of the Eden Alternative, a philosophical nursing home abolitionist program to de-institutionalize nursing homes across the US, and the creator of the Green House, a radical new approach to rip apart nursing homes and replace them with home-like environments based upon community and an interactive life. He is also a professor of Aging Studies at the University of Maryland Erickson School. In 2008, the Wall Street Journal named him among the 12 most influential Americans shaping aging in the 21st century.
