During the Nazi occupation, Marcel created a fraudulent escape network that led to the death of potentially up to 150 people. Marcel was dubbed Dr. Satan, the monster of the Rue le Sueur, the Werewolf of Paris, the demonic ogre and the Butcher of Paris.
