Mid-Session 21 May 19: Post-election rally consolidates after ASX 200 hits 11.5 year highs

Local shares were weighed down in early trade reflecting the losses on Wall Street, although the Index found its footing helped by the minutes from the last RBA meeting which pointed to a rate cut in the event that the employment market deteriorates.
