Market Close 7 Jan 16: Local shares slump after China suspends trade

 The ASX 200 has dropped 2.2% on Thursday, taking this week’s losses to 5.4% . The selling intensified this afternoon, after China’s share market dropped 7.2%,  triggering the market's circuit breaker for a second time this week.
