It’s a funny thing. Ever since Cuba started sending thousands of selfless medial doctors to far flung regions of Latin America and the 3rd world, most 1st world people have softened their positions a bit on the Cuban regime. And why not? Goods deed like that would seem incongruous and contrary to what we imagine to be a brutal, totalitarian, dictatorial regime. Even now, Americans at dinner parties wonder how a socialist country with people making on average $50 a month can send such numbers of professional “do good” emissaries abroad. Is it for real- a truly a great thing or possibly the greatest PR stunt the Castro brothers have ever pulled?

Meanwhile, all is not well in paradise as Brazil’s new president fires (kicks out) all 11,000 Cuban doctors working in his country.
