Give Me Back My Action&Horror Movies
TV & Film
Brotherhood of the Wolf is based on a legend from the 1600s French countryside which makes it way more interesting then the film actually ended up being. This tale has been told a number of times, most famously by Sir Arthur Conon Doyle in his Sherlock Holmes novel "The Hounds of the Baskerville," or at least that's what Pete thinks, it's a dubious claim at best. The real trouble with the movie is how damn long it is and at two and a half hours it's a challenge to get through in one sitting. Nostalgia is a powerful mistress and it firmly has it's grips on Nate as he remembered fondly how bitchin' this film truly can be. Still, with all it's problems, the movie has it's high points, I mean, at the very least, the "werewolves" didn't have machine guns.
