R.J.M. Blackett professor of history at Vanderbilt University and a historian of the abolitionist movement in the US. He’s written several books including “Building an Antislavery Wall”, “A Thousand Miles for Freedom” and “The Captive’s Quest for Freedom”. But today professor Blackett comes on the podcast to talk about his work “Making Freedom: The Underground Railroad and the Politics of Slavery.
